Description
This detached chalet combines privacy with an atmospheric Alpine character. The spacious living room with open kitchen has a direct access to the large terrace with luxurious lounge set. Here you will enjoy the view of the mountains! The Finnish sauna with infrared panel and a double rain shower offer ultimate comfort. Outside is a generous wood-fired hot tub. A heated room for ski equipment, a children's corner with toys and games and 2 parkings with charging station complete the picture
A big advantage of Donnersbachtal is its location in the Austrian state of Styria, not far from Salzburgerland. You pass the border crossing at Passau and thus avoid Munich. As a result, even in high season, you'll drive towards your holiday traffic jam-free! The accommodation in Donnersbachwald is located on a gentle slope with breathtaking views. With its fantastic location near the Riesneralm valley station, the park offers direct access to nature and a babbling brook.
The Austrian winter transforms the area into a fairyland with two snow-sure ski areas, Riesneralm and Planneralm, together accounting for 50 km of slopes. For families, the child-friendly Riesneralm is ideal. Looking for variety? Try the natural toboggan run or cross-country trails close to the chalet.
Summer reveals a different kind of magic with various hiking trails, mountain huts, the challenging 5-Gipfelweg, 3D archery, the E-Enduro Bikepark and fly-fishing. Enjoy a refreshing dip in the unique Gipfel pool, at 1900 metres above sea level, and admire the 360-degree view there. Mountain lakes and streams will cool you down on hot summer days. A dream spot from January to December!

Very nice holiday village with high-quality chalets. We felt very comfortable. The sauna with the additional infrared facility was absolutely great. The living/dining room is spacious and has plenty of seating for eating and relaxing. The kitchen equipment was very generous. Very good!

The Riesner Alpenlodge really comes highly recommended. The house is fully equipped. We missed nothing. Plenty of space, lovely chairs, sofas and table, large kitchen with all the appliances you need, beautifully landscaped garden with terraces and lovely lounge set, in addition to a normal table and chairs. The hot tub is lovely. Wood-fired, so take some time to warm it up. We didn't use the sauna. The charging station is also very nice if you have an electric car, as there are fewer charging points in the neighbourhood. The service at the park is also fine. Available every day. We did not need it, but so is available. The surroundings are beautiful. Nearby quite a few hiking trails and a lift up so you can hike down. The swimming lake nearby is really lovely on a warm thought and never crowded. Once you are out of the valley, there is a lot to do in the area, from glaciers to waterfalls, to, for example, a monastery with a very nice library, zipline and climbing forest or the top of a mountain with play equipment for children and large lakes where you can swim or take a boat.

Cottage is just super everything on it.... so luxurious that we are just hugely spoilt and it's going to be difficult if we go anywhere else. Location is top notch and beautiful!!!

A beautiful new chalet in a quiet place with lots of space and nature in the surroundings. This is still authentic Austria! The terrace was very nice to enjoy the sun and a well-deserved beer after a day of walking.
