Rent a holiday home in Warth - Schröcken
Located on the border between Tyrol and Vorarlberg, the Warth-Schröcken ski area has 60 km of slopes and 15 ski lifts. Since 2013/2014, the area has been connected to Lech by a new lift connection. This means an expansion of 100 piste kilometres and 32 additional lifts. With the Ski Arlberg Pass, you can ski in the whole area. Warth-Schröcken is also called the "Schneegarant" because the area is very snow-sure.
The valley is 550 metres above sea level, with the highest peak at 2050 metres. The distribution of pistes is 50% red, 36% blue and 14% black. A good combination for all levels. The pistes are wide, making them very suitable for beginners and children. There are also black runs for experienced skiers, but the area is also a true paradise for off-piste skiers. The entire area is mainly on the north slope, which has the advantage of longer snow cover, but it can also be very cold. In winter, Warth-Schröcken can only be reached via the Hochtannberg Pass. The access road via Lech is not passable in winter due to large amounts of snow.
There are two funparks on the Salober and the Steffialpe. There are 12 obstacles for every level. You can also have your speed measured on a special track or ski the carving race track.
The Warth-Schröcken ski area has 18 kilometres of trails with good level distribution. The trails can be used free of charge. A highlight for a stopover is the Hotel am Körbersee. There are 20 kilometres of different hiking trails in the region and predetermined routes for snowshoeing enthusiasts. You can walk the routes independently, but there are also guided hikes. You can rent shoes and poles.
For little ones, there is the Kindermärchenland, a special ski school for toddlers. This separate ski area has children's lifts, slides, swings, etc. The 'flying carpet' brings the children back up. Children learn to ski while having fun.
You can enjoy après-ski in the pubs and cafés. A great way to party after a day's skiing, sometimes with live music. Some bars go on until the early hours. In Warth, for example, there is Sennkuchi or Schirmbar Steffisalp. In Schröcken, there is the Ritters.
Warth-Schröcken has an indoor pool, a sauna and a fitness centre for relaxation. If you fancy something different, you can go tobogganing. Let yourself be dragged 700 metres up on your sled, enjoy a glass of mulled wine at the top and slide back down. The toboggan run is lit until 10pm. You can also take a ride on a dog sledge.
The Warth-Schröcken ski area is a great area for families.
