Saalbach Hinterglemm - The skiarea
The interconnected ski area of Saalbach Hinterglemm is very popular. It is a very varied ski area with cosy villages and good après ski. The area has been linked to the Fieberbrunn and Leogang ski areas for years. The ZellamseeXpress now takes you all the way to Zell am See.
Throughout the ski area you will find a variety of slopes between the trees where you can enjoy the beautiful mountain scenery. You can take wonderful tours around the villages. The ski bus will take you back to your starting point. Thanks to the use of 400 snow cannons, the area is guaranteed snow from December to April.

Ski area Skicircus Saalbach Hinterglemm
The pure ski circus offers 191 km of pistes: 115 km of blue pistes, 63 km of red pistes and 7 km of black pistes. The 55 lifts (5 T-bar lifts, 21 chair lifts and 29 gondolas) will take you to the top and let you discover the whole area. Ski buses take you to the various valley stations.
There are many huts along the slopes where you can enjoy Austrian specialities such as Kaspressknödel, Kaiserschmarren or Stelzen in the sunshine. The black northern slopes of the Zwölferkugel (World Cup course) and Schattberg Ost are particularly suitable for advanced skiers. Beginners can practice on the sunny southern slopes.
Funparks Saalbach Hinterglemm Leogang Fieberbrunn
There are 5 fun parks in the Skicircus, so freestylers won't get bored. There is the Nightpark in Hinterglemm and the Nitro Snowpark in Leogang. A third fun park can be found on the Bernkugel.
Cross country skiing
Leogang offers excellent opportunities for cross-country skiers. There is a network of trails where you can have a lot of fun.
Hiking
Hikers will also get their money's worth. A hiking trail leads from the Zwölferkabine to the Ellmaualm. Or you can take the lift up and walk back to Hinterglemm. From Saalbach you can hike through a beautiful valley to the Spielberghaus.
With children to Saalbach Hinterglemm
Actually, all the resorts in the Skicircus are child-friendly. Saalbach, Hinterglemm, Leogang and Fieberbrunn have great children's areas and fantastic practice slopes.
In Leogang, the Montelino Parcours or the Leo Trail are very popular. In Hinterglemm there is Snowly Land for children. A fun train takes children to Kinderland.
In Fieberbrunn there is Tatziland with a carousel, conveyor belts and a drag lift and Bobo's Kids Club. There is also a Bobo's Kinderland in Saalbach.
Kids are guaranteed to have a great time during the winter holidays. And parents can let off steam on the slopes.
Other activities
At the floodlit slopes in Hinterglemm and at the Schanteilift in Leogang you can also ski in the evening on floodlit slopes or toboggan on one of the 5 floodlit toboggan runs in the Skicircus. Torchlight walks and horse-drawn sleigh rides are also available. Snowmobiling and ice karting are other popular activities.
Après-Ski Skicircus Saalbach Hinterglemm
Saalbach and Hinterglemm in particular offer great après-ski opportunities. It usually starts at the lodge or snow bar on the mountain, but there are also several pubs and discos in the valley where you can party until the early hours
