The picturesque chalet park lies in close proximity of the small and charming village Hohentauern on the Triebener-Tauern Pass in the Rottenmanner Tauern in Styria, here you can experience breathtaking, unspoilt nature in both summer and winter!

This beautiful chalet is located on the chalet park, at approx. 1,200 metres above sea level, on a sunny slope and offers a wonderful view of the highest mountain in the lower Tauern, the Großer Bösenstein. The Ski Hohentauern ski area, a traditional family ski area with 11 kilometers of perfectly groomed pistes, is located just 300 meters from the chalet!

Other popular ski areas in the region are the Kreischberg/Murau ski area with 42 kilometers of first-class groomed pistes, the well-known Ramsau am Dachstein ski region in the heart of the famous 4-mountain ski area (Hauser Kaibling, Planai, Hochwurzen and Reiteralm) with 760 kilometers of pure fun on the pistes, the Lachtal ski area with 36 kilometers of pistes and ski routes and the Tauplitz, Wurzeralm, Hinterstoder, Planneralm and Riesneralm ski areas. The nearby Kaiserau ski area in Admont is ideal for beginners and offers 3 kilometers of pistes in all levels of difficulty.

Ski tourers and snowshoe hikers will find an Eldorado for their sporting passion right on the doorstep. Just a few meters from the chalet is the entrance to the cross-country ski trail and a idyllic winter hiking trail. There is another cross-country ski trail in the Triebental valley, which can also be used with a dog. There are also a number of signposted snowshoe routes.

In summer, this chalet scores with its central location in one of the most unspoilt and beautiful hiking areas in the Styrian Mur Valley, as Hohentauern is the perfect place to go on hiking and mountain tours of all levels of difficulty, explore mountain bike trails and discover leisurely cycle paths. The summer is also known for the public swimming pools and the many bathing lakes such as the Gaishorn Am See bathing lake and the Wald Am Schoberpass leisure lake.

Motorsport fans and motorcyclists also get their money's worth in Upper Styria, as the Red Bull Ring in Spielberg is only around 35 kilometers away!

In the village of Hohentauern and the surrounding area there are various excursion destinations such as the Triebental valley with the Bergerhube and Moaralm or the Günster waterfall with a 65 meter drop, as well as plenty of shopping opportunities and a good selection of restaurants
