A big advantage of Donnersbachtal is its location in the Austrian state of Styria, not far from Salzburgerland. You pass the border crossing at Passau and thus avoid Munich. As a result, even in high season, you'll drive towards your holiday traffic jam-free! The accommodation in Donnersbachwald is located on a gentle slope with breathtaking views. With its fantastic location near the Riesneralm valley station, the park offers direct access to nature and a babbling brook.
The Austrian winter transforms the area into a fairyland with two snow-sure ski areas, Riesneralm and Planneralm, together accounting for 50 km of slopes. For families, the child-friendly Riesneralm is ideal. Looking for variety? Try the natural toboggan run or cross-country trails close to the chalet.
Summer reveals a different kind of magic with various hiking trails, mountain huts, the challenging 5-Gipfelweg, 3D archery, the E-Enduro Bikepark and fly-fishing. Enjoy a refreshing dip in the unique Gipfel pool, at 1900 metres above sea level, and admire the 360-degree view there. Mountain lakes and streams will cool you down on hot summer days. A dream spot from January to December!

Super accommodation. Very good box spring beds. All furnishings in good quality. We felt very comfortable.
It was a wonderful holiday in a beautiful house. There was really nothing missing. The location was perfect for great hikes of all kinds. We particularly enjoyed the covered terrace with the wonderful view and also the sauna. We had a great time and would love to come back.

It was a great house for a large family / 3 generations. Everyone was very enthusiastic. It was just a shame that we couldn't use the outside area as we had planned. Unfortunately, the weather didn't play ball

What a wonderful, neat, complete, clean, comfortable house! And in such a beautiful place! Fantastic! We had a wonderful time with our children and grandchildren!
We felt very comfortable in Haus Erna as a large family - 3 generations - it is very lovingly furnished and you have everything you need! At the big table we could all eat, drink, play, laugh, ... together. We will be back!

We rented a beautiful cottage (cottage Erna) in Donnersbachwald. Quiet and majestic surroundings. At first glance a winter sports area, but we found everything there to have a more than excellent holiday in summer too. House is very luxurious and fully equipped. You pay a little for it, but you receive more in return than you may dream of. We would definitely recommend this house to future tenants. Recommended!!!

Great chalet and good organisation
Furnished with attention to detail and perfectly organised. Very nice wellness area and good beds. Fully equipped kitchen and beautiful dining area. A highlight is certainly the living area with large TV, HIFI system (including W-lan on both floors) and cosy lighting. It was winter and therefore we could not use the covered terrace with lounge and gas barbecue. It is definitely one of the best holiday homes we have booked in the last 10 years. Thank you very much and see you again in May 2023.
