The more than 2,000 hours of sunshine a year, as well as the altitude of 800 to 1,000 metres above sea level, make the landscape exceptional. The swimming lake in Untermieming and the Barwies forest swimming pool attract water lovers.
Those looking for an active winter holiday without skis can enjoy winter hiking, snowshoeing, tobogganing and cross-country skiing on the Mieminger Plateau. Thanks to the central location, ski areas in Ötztal or Biberwier/Ausserfern can be reached quickly
