Primeval wood chalet with private wellness and terrace
Krimml, Salzburgerland, Austria
This typically Austrian primal chalet has a beautiful location on the mountainside, giving you lovely views of the mountain world. It is the middle chalet of the 3 chalets located next to each other. After an active day in the mountains, unwind in your own wellness area with sauna. From here, you can easily reach the popular ski resorts of Zillertal Arena by public transport
The chalet is located in the beautiful town of Krimml. Known for its waterfalls, right on the border with Wald im Pinzgau.
For skiers, the skibus stop is only 400 m from the chalet and has a frequent connection to Königsleiten. Here, the largest ski area in the Zillertal is right at your feet. The ski area the Zillertal Arena offers 147 kilometres of well-prepared slopes. In the cosy après-ski bar in Krimml you can have a drink together!
There are places in Austria that must be seen. One of those places is the Krimmler Waterfalls, which is the highest tiered waterfall in Europe. A visit to this natural wonder should definitely on your list!

Otherwise, the chalet was perfectly adequate and inviting.
Beautiful, bright and spacious wooden house. We felt very comfortable with eight adults, two children and a dog. The kitchen had everything you need. Lovely large living room. We had the middle of three chalets, which were separated from each other so that we had our privacy. Good location to the waterfalls and shopping facilities.
We liked the chalet overall, it was functionally equipped and practically and cosily furnished for our needs (even if there were some signs of wear and tear). The location of the house was also good, but you should be aware that the busy road is a bit of a nuisance. But we found some of the shortcomings really unacceptable: - Splintering decking boards (we had to remove quite a few splinters from our toddlers' feet, knees and hands). - In the upstairs bathroom next to the single toilet, there was an unpleasant odour in the room despite the window being open all the time. In the bedroom below, a piece of the wooden ceiling appeared to be mouldy due to damp. (Incidentally, the squeaky door handle in the bathroom signalled to the occupants of the neighbouring rooms that the bathroom was occupied ...) - The downstairs bathroom was a hive of silverfish activity at night... (We left the window open all the time there too). - The door to the downstairs bedroom was stuck and could only be opened and closed with a firm tug. - The high chair was defective and posed a risk of injury to our crawling toddler (the bottom bar was hanging down on one side). In addition to these shortcomings, we found it uninviting that there were several large cobwebs in the entrance area, on the patio door and on the balconies. We would also have liked the windows to be a little cleaner so that you could still see through them when the sun was shining in.
Our stay was pleasant, but the responsible contact person only gave us the key on arrival, we did not get an explanation of the function of the door lock, which turned out to be quite complicated, nor, as already described above, the guest card, which is important for discounts on admissions, mountain railways. The customer friendliness and attentiveness should be improved.
Chalet is very nice and location is perfect. Did have a leak which the manager did not respond to after reporting us and we wanted a single cover but he did not have one and gave us a double cover.
Beautiful, rustic wooden house. Relatively good connection to the ski area with the ski bus
