Snowboarden Hopfgarten

In SkiWelt Wilder Kaiser-Brixental there are several snow- and funparks where you can practice. In Hochsöll there is the Wintergarten, in St. Johann the Snowpark St. Johann, in Scheffau the Kaiserpark and in Westendorf the Boarders Playground. From Hopfgarten the parks are easy to reach. In the parks, there are various boxes, half-pipes, rails, tables and other obstacles that are a challenge for both beginners and experienced boarders. In Westendorf, there is even a special area for beginners and intermediates, as well as a section for experienced boarders and freeskiers..

Cross country skiing Hopfgarten

The region around Hopfgarten is also a great place for cross-country skiing. The wonderful white landscape with beautiful views of the Wilder Kaiser and the Kitzbühel Alps make this area a true paradise. There are over 70 km of trails around Hopfgarten. The trails are well prepared and have received the Tyrolean cross-country skiing seal of approval. There are many different trails from easy to difficult. In the nearby Angerberg there is even an illuminated night trail. And if you don't have the right equipment, you can hire skis and poles at one of the rental stations.

Hiking in Hopfgarten

This area is also great for hiking in winter. Put on your winter boots or snow shoes and head out. Many cleared winter hiking trails lead you through the small villages and snowy forests to the most beautiful idyllic places in Hopfgarten and its surroundings. The family ski area is located in Kelchsau, 6 km from Hopfgarten. This small ski resort also belongs to the SkiWelt Wilder Kaiser. With 4 lifts and 16 kilometres of slopes, it is a small ski resort, but what fun it is here!  The wide slopes make it suitable for beginners, families and groups. The price-quality ratio is excellent! Ski passes for the SkiWelt Wilder Kaiser - Brixental are also valid in Kelchsau. You can reach Kelchsau using the free ski bus or book a holiday home in Kelchsau.

Hopfgarten Apres Ski

An absolute must for après ski is the Sunneseit Hütte, a wooden hut on the slope next to the descent which leads to Hopfgarten. For evening après-ski, it is best to drive to Westendorf. You can take your own car or take a taxi, which is not so expensive, from your holiday home in Hopfgarten.

In the summer, hikers will certainly get their money's worth. Beautiful routes have been laid out for you to enjoy the nature and the magnificent views. For cyclists it is also a true paradise.
