Are there toboggan runs?

There are three toboggan runs in the Axamer Lizum ski area that vary in length and facilities:

Birgitzer Alm - Adelshof Toboggan run: This run stretches over 10 kilometres, the first part of which is 3.2 kilometres long from Birgitzer Alm at 1,808 metres altitude to Adelshof at 1,370 metres altitude. It is open only when snow conditions are good.

Naturrodelbahn Axamer Lizum/Axams: This track is about 3.9 kilometres long and lit until midnight, depending on snow conditions. A free evening bus service is available from Monday to Thursday to the floodlit toboggan run in Axamer Lizum, subject to safe conditions.

Pleisenhütte toboggan run: This run starts at Schafalm and leads through the forest to Pleisenhütte. In good snow conditions, the descent can be extended to Axams, giving a total length of almost 6 kilometres. 

Can you ski off-piste in the Axamer Lizum ski area?

In the Axamer Lizum, you will find challenging ski routes on the Hoadl and Pleisen, as well as many opportunities for off-piste skiers who enjoy deep powder and steep slopes. The Birgitzköpfl offers tough runs for experienced skiers. In addition, Axamer Lizum has a special venue for off-piste skiing on the Hoadl. Which ski pass do I need?

A separate ski pass for Axamer Lizum is possible but you can also purchase the SKI plus CITY Pass Stubai Innsbruck. This ski pass is valid in all 13 ski areas around Innsbruck, including Kühtai, Stubaier Gletscher and Hochoetz, together accounting for more than 300 km of slopes. The pass not only gives you access to the slopes, but also to all kinds of excursions. Moreover, access to public transport is free.

What are the après-ski options in Axamer Lizum?

Après ski in Axamer Lizum is different from the well-known hotspots. However, there are several cozy options in the ski area, such as the Sunnalm with its sunny terrace and the Dohlennest, known for its cozy atmosphere and regular events.
