Solden is located in the snow-assured Ötztal valley and is the largest village here. In Solden, you will find everything you are looking for in a great winter sports holiday: Many varied slopes, modern and fast lifts and excellent après-ski! 
The Gaislochkogl, the Giggijoch and the glaciers are waiting for you here. The glaciers: the Rettenbach- and the Tiefenbachglacier are accessible almost the whole year round.

From Solden, you can take the cable cars or chairlifts to the middle stations. From here, you can make descents back into the valley or continue up to 3,250 metres with various gondolas and chairlifts (Tiefenbachkogl).

All skiers are welcome in Solden, even beginners. The blue slopes (70 km) are often wide and offer plenty of space. Experienced skiers will find what they are looking for on the slopes of Gaislachkogl (3056 m) and Giigijoch: Top conditions!

Winter and summer in the Ötztal
Solden is the best known place in the Ötztal valley, and especially known for winter sports, but in summer it is also wonderful here.  In the surrounding area there are lovely places like Ötz, Längenfeld, Umhausen and Sautens.  The apartments and holday homes in the Ötztal valley are a wonderful home away from home in the summer, too.
